You’re welcome at any age and from any background. We’ve had first-year university students and a retired guest from abroad who was 60.
You don’t need to be a certain kind of person to join us. Just come with an interest in meeting people.
It changes from night to night. Our weekly events usually have around 15 to just over 30 people.
Fridays tend to be livelier, with people staying together for the bar hop afterward.
You don’t have to drink alcohol or join the bar hop. If you continue to other venues, transport, drinks and any entry fees are separate.
You’re welcome even if you don’t drink. Joining the bar hop is optional. Stay as long as you like, or head home after the social.
Yes! Many guests come on their own. Tell a host it’s your first time, and we’ll introduce you to a few people. Even a short visit is enough to join us.
Yes, even for a short stay. This is a relaxed social evening, not a professional networking event. Come on your own; our hosts will help you join in.
Yes. Whether you’ve returned from studying, working or traveling abroad, or simply enjoy meeting people from different countries, you’re welcome.
Your weekly Friday or Saturday entry includes one drink. You pay when you arrive.
You can pay at the venue with cash, a credit card or Apple Pay.
No. Choose your date on Luma, RSVP for free and pay at the venue.
It’s an easy way to keep the details handy. Luma will remind you before the event, and you can add it to your calendar.
Just cancel your RSVP on Luma. I know travel plans can change.
No. You can choose a non-alcoholic drink. Come for the company.
Not at all. You can chat, play darts or listen. Only sing if you feel like it.
You can try Chinese in casual conversations, and English is welcome too. Our focus is making friends, with no assigned language partners, lessons or timed language practice.
